About Me

Welcome! My name is Al Reed (they/them).

I love helping patients feel their best in their bodies and have extensive experience in treating acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain through acupuncture, cupping, and bodywork.

I take a gentle and effective approach to acupuncture, often incorporating a mixture of 5 element theory and orthopedic needling.

Other focuses of mine include: hormonal issues (everything from (peri)menopause to cycle support to easing side effects of HRT), fertility, holistic skin care + microneedling, postoperative care, insomnia, anxiety, grief support, and stress management.

I was recognized by my peers as one of Portland’s Top Acupuncturists by Portland Monthly Magazine’s Top Doctors List for 2022.

Our work together will be trauma-informed and transformative. As a queer, non-binary health care provider, I am passionate about serving the LQBTQI2S+ community.  Being an advocate for creating better, affirming clinical spaces for all bodies is essential to my approach in the clinic.
